The Freestyle Libre 2 sensors send glucose readings every minute to a connected reader or smartphone. The Librelink app only uses this data for low and high glucose alerts, while Juggluco displays the current glucose value on the smartphone along with these alarms. This means you can monitor your glucose levels without having to scan the sensor. Juggluco is compatible with Freestyle Libre 2 sensors and newer versions can also work with Freestyle Libre 3 sensors. By following specific steps to remove all competing connections and scanning the sensor multiple times with Juggluco, a Bluetooth connection can be established within 20 minutes. Once connected, Juggluco provides a detailed graph showing current glucose levels, past 8 hours history, and the ability to track insulin, carbohydrate intake, and activity. Additionally, the app generates statistics on time in range, estimated A1c, and can send glucose values to smartwatches using various methods, including Android notifications, watch apps, and glucose broadcasts.
